Boucles d’Or et les Trois Ours

Salut Tout Le Monde,

This term Grade 1 has been learning how to sort and classify objects in French. We have looked at animals that are grand (big) and small (petit) and discussed which animals are smaller (plus petit) or bigger (plus grand) than each other. We made a pictograph of our favourite fruits and talked about which fruits were more popular than others – les fraises (strawberries) were the clear favourite! We even went on a rubbish hunt and sorted all the rubbish we found into the correct bin to make our school look sparkling clean! We have been very busy.

We have been reading the popular fairytale ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears,’ however in France it is called a different name – Boucles d’Or et les Trois Ours.  The story is full of comparative language so we have learnt a lot over the past few weeks. Watch it to see if you can find any:

Au revoir,

Heather
